Flower Press kit with engraved tulip flowers made from cedar or cherry wood and brass bolts and thumb nuts. This kit measures 5"x7" and includes rice paper and cardboard inserts for drying. The rice paper acts as the blotting paper in between the cardboard layers. There are 3 groups of these layers which include 6 corrugated ventilator cardboard pieces and 6 sheets of rice paper. This press is perfect for drying flowers, herbs, ferns, leaves and other flora and is a great gift for aspiring botanists or those who just like to collect botanicals from the nature around them. Pressing plants is a great way to preserve memories from weddings, nature walks, gardening and much more. You can then use the dried flowers for crafts, framing them on walls, or candle and soap making.
The cedar wood is aromatic and each piece is 1/4" thick. The cherry wood has a nice warm tone to it and is 1/4" thick. If you prefer a different wood type such as maple or walnut, please reach out to me and I can create a custom order. The brass bolts are 2". If you would like to upgrade to larger 3" bolts, select the upgrade from the menu and I will include 3 extra layers of cardboard and rice paper as well (that would be 6 groups of layers - 12 sheets of cardboard and 12 sheets of rice paper).
