We moved onto our land here on Camano Island in 2016. We started with planting our lavender field, added more fruit trees and blueberry plants to the orchard, and built the hugelkultur raised garden beds to our no-till farm. We added to our family a small flock of hens and two barn cats. We have lots of other projects coming into this vision of ours….. we are living our dream.
Our art is inspired by that around us. From the beautiful mountains, the changing tides of the Puget Sound, the birds that sing to us throughout the day, the continual growth of our forest and plants, and much more. We feel the need to source our materials locally if we can’t produce it ourselves.
It started with five. Summer and Tia love the creating process from draft to finished work. Tor is our lavender guru, harvesting and making the essential oils…. as well as other outdoorsy things. Owen helps where needed and entertains. Along with helping where needed, Kai is working on his own business of building guitars and stringed instruments @toringuitars
Our artistry and crafts include lavender essential oils and soaps, woodcraft, jewelry, upcycled and repurposed glassware and knitting products. We source most of our materials locally. You can visit our Sunrise Grove Knittery shop on Etsy as well as here.
